
In June 2025, exports of Vietnam’s fruits and vegetables to Europe reached $47.4 million. It went up 56.3% compared to June 2024.
Cumulatively, in the first six months, Vietnamese fruit and vegetable exports to the Europee reached $233.2 million. It showed an increase of 44.1% compared to the same period in 2024.

Vietnamese passion fruit
Vietnam’s fruits and vegetables to the EU market recorded strong growth compared to the same period in 2024. However, the export value of for durian and lychee in the first six months slightly declined.
Passion fruit was the product with the highest export value to the EU market. Specifically, it reached $58.59 million, up 112.9% compared to the same period in 2024. The export value accounted for 25.1% of the total export value of fruits and vegetables to this market.
The export values of some other fruit and vegetable products to the EU market also saw significant increases compared to the same period in 2024. Vietnamese mango exports reached $39.9 million, up 28.6%. Pineapple reached $19.5 million, up 207.9%. Coconut reached $18.3 million, up 49.1%. Fresh lime reached $9.8 million, up 37.7%.

One of the important factors driving fruit and vegetable exports to the EU market in the first six months of 2025 is the tariff advantage. This advantage comes from the Vietnam-EU Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA).
On the other hand, consumer demand in the EU is strongly recovering. Vietnamese fruits and vegetables are increasingly favored by EU consumers thanks to improved quality.
Additionally, fruit production in some EU member markets has declined due to unfavorable weather conditions. This has caused the region to rely more on imported supplies, including those from Vietnam.
