Vietnamese Carrot

Vietnamese carrot is mainly availlable in the northern provinces, especially in Hai Duong, Bac Ninh, and Hung Yen. These provinces have cool climate and fertile alluvial soil, which are ideal for this crop. Among these regions, Hai Duong province, is the largest carrot-growing area in the country. They supply both domestic markets and exports to countries.

Every year, Vietnam produces around 150,000 to 200,000 tons of carrots, with most harvested between December and April. Thanks to improved farming techniques and high-quality seed varieties, the productivity and quality of Vietnam’s carrot has increased steadily. As a result, this has helped farmers earn higher incomes and contributed to the growth of the agricultural export sector.

In recent years, Vietnam has become one of the leading carrot suppliers in Southeast Asia. Most Vietnamese carrot comes from Hai Duong province, which accounts for nearly 70–80% of the country’s total carrot output. The main export markets include South Korea, Japan, Thailand, and Malaysia. At these markets, Vietnamese carrot is valuable for their bright color, sweetness, and freshness.

Thanks to improved farming practices and better preservation technology, the export volume and value of carrots have increased steadily each year. Despite challenges such as high transportation costs and competition from other countries, Vietnam’s carrot exports continue to grow, bringing high income for farmers.

Agrideco Vietnam Co., Ltd has established a distinguished reputation for supplying premium-quality Vietnamese carrots to the international market. Our commitment to excellence has reflected not only in the superior quality of our products but also in our highly competitive pricing. Therefore, it enables us to meet the diverse needs of global buyers.

The export season for Vietnamese carrot typically spans from January to May each year. During this period, our carrots are carefully packed and transported in temperature-controlled sea containers to ensure optimal freshness upon arrival. To date, our distribution network extends to more than ten countries, demonstrating the growing global demand for our carrots.

Notably, in the winter crop of 2025 alone, Agrideco Vietnam successfully exported over 2,000 metric tons of Vietnam’s carrots. This underscores our capacity and reliability as a trusted supplier of Vietnam’s carrot in the international agricultural market. We remain committed to maintaining the highest standards in product quality and stable shipments.

Generally, larger sizes of fresh carrots, such as L, 2L, and 3L, are particularly favorable by consumers in Japan and South Korea. They are easy to prepare in restaurants or in the kitchens of industrial zones. In contrast, Malaysia and the Middle East exhibit a clear preference for smaller-sized carrots. These are typically categorized as S and M, which better suit family meals.
