Many local farmers have been busy preparing for export orders of Vietnamese fresh cabbage. Thanks to favorable weather conditions, this year’s autumn-winter crop has seen a significant increase in yields. Therefore, it brings high hopes to growers.

In Hai Duong province, farmers are harvesting cabbages for the first export shipment of the new year. These cabbages are popular in the Japanese and South Korean markets. The farm can harvest up to 40 tons of fresh cabbage per week to serve export demand.

Each Vietnamese fresh cabbage that meets export standards weighs between two and three kilograms. Additionally, the farming area must meet Vietgap standards, ensuring no pesticide residues remain on the products.

“Our yield this year has increased by 200% compared to the same period last year. That’s because we changed our farming methods, improved the soil, and benefited from favorable weather,” shared Ms. Thuy from An Tan commune, Hai Duong province.

According to local farmers, this year’s autumn-winter season has extended by about one month due to the leap year. This is another factor contributing to the higher output compared to previous years.

In addition to cabbage, fresh carrots are also a key export crop in this region. In 2025 alone, Agrideco Vietnam Co., Ltd has exported 40 containers of carrots, equivalent to over 1,000 tons. Competitive pricing has been a crucial factor enabling the company to meet this target. They prepared financial resources early and proactively partnered with farmers to secure a stable and high-quality supply at reasonable prices.
